Our Days of Reflection
These are held twice a year, in Autumn and early Spring. There is always a well-known speaker, but the day is more than just listening to someone talking. There are usually times for silent reflection and for quiet sharing of ideas with those sitting around us. People are encouraged to talk to people who are new to them, and there is always a bookstall.
Days have covered a wide range of topics, including the environment, praying with the mystical tradition, forgiveness, homelessness and ourselves, prayer and personality.
As venues we have used The Apostle Room at Clifton Cathedral, Wesley College and other places. Days typically run from 10am – 3.30pm, and cost around £10.
Invited speakers have included:
- Margaret Silf
- Melvyn Matthews
- Fr. Richard Mckay
- John Rackley
- Tina Beattie
- Chris Sunderland
- David Self
- Angela Ashwin
